We got here around 3 yesterday after a grueling 224 mile drive from San Quintin thru curvy hilly mountain roads. (Yeah it sucked beautiful scenery great homemade burritos on the way and lots of pictures).
It is an amazing site - the bay is gorgeous and the volcanic islands off the coast are dramatic. We are so lucky to have found this place. We have spots right on the beach and the only other people here are our "neighbors" Cindy, Les, and Bugsy (a yorkie). They are from Vancouver and some of the nicest most laid back folks you could meet.
I gave Les a cold beer yesterday when we got here and they came back later with fresh yellowfin tuna fillets which we grilled for supper! Such a deal.
anyway there is not a lot here to do but absorb the scenery and it is so windy.
The winds were blowing big time today.
I tried my kite (just the kite mind you-no board) for the first time today on the beach behind our house....MAJOR headplant in the sand but thank God I did not get dragged down the beach and we caught the kite (a success story right?) ;)
anyway I need some kiteboarding buds to help me out - maybe in La Ventana.....
The pics will be uploaded later but you really need to look this place is so beautiful.
Tomorrow - Guerrero Negro (Black Warrior) and the border crossing to Baja California Del Sur!

Looks like your trip is going great. We are still in S.ville and its cold cold cold; burr. We interviewd a lady here at the house today that lives in Memphis and has a daughter that goes to school in Murfreesboro. Went well and I think that it might be a go. I think that she can do a lot of the things that Mary has done. The horses looked good and did I say that it is cold. Dad shows tomorrow night in Murfreesboro and we might drive a while aferwards, just to get some of the miles done. My heart hurts for SWG but I'm ok--just sad. I'm so glad that things are going good for you and that you are having a good time. Dad says that he loves you. Hope you get my message. Safe traveling. Love Mom
