This was the day we were at Monty's, but I think we were so awed by actually being there, that we did'nt actually get around to telling you all about how the day ended !
Mont'y's was fabulous, & very thought / debate provoking, so will tell you all about that in loads more detail when we get home.
When we left Flag is up Farm, we kinda doubled back a bit, past where we had stayed the previous night at Peasoup Andersens, & on northwards to the coast again.
We were heading for an overnight stay at Morro Bay, a small fishing harbour, with set in a nature / bird reserve.
The little town seemed quite unremarkable as we left CA 1, but how that changed as we dropped down to the sea front. It is absolutly lovely - little pastel painted wooden clad buildings,all clustered around the bay. Our hotel looked very nice - the Blue Sail Inn, & after checking in at reception we went across the street to find our room in the main building. The room was a delight, warm & wellcoming, but the best bit was THE VIEW !
We looked right over the bay & out to Morro Rock.!
Julie was beside herself..... flocks of Pelicans circled around the rock, & we could hear sea lions !!
I've never seen Julie dump her cases so quick..... she was actually tapping her fingers on the door with impatience to get back out ! No time to unpack then !!!!
A short walk to the harbour front & we were spellbound, it is so beautiful. The sea lions were just a little way of in the harbour, but we discovered that 2 or 3 stayed laying out on the concrete stantions under the boardwalk, these were huge - so probably the bulls, totaly ignoring people as we looked down at them, & getting VERY vocal if another sea lion approached.
The place is stunning ! love to all, especially my 'glue ' back home. I do miss you !!! & Sarah we soooo look forward to your comments xxxx TAJ.

On our way to Morro Bay we pitstopped for coffee and cinnemon buns to refuel! Before wandering down to the beach -- what can I say -- SURF IS UP"! It was spectacular and of course Julie and I just had to go and put our feet in the water. Julie was slightly more circumspect and I got alittle carried away, another foot and it would have been literal!!! But it was brillll.....
After Julie and I dragged ourselves away from the sea we set off for Morro really not expecting to be as open jawed as we were - a sunset on fire, as pelicans dived for fish and sealions callsed - not only beautiful but surreal!
We didn't even mind the Sealion's midnight calls or those at one, two, three, four oh, well you get the picture!

Well Cow gals what can i say feels like year's ago we last bloged ! Where you been all my life :-) ? We've missed you thought you'd been kidnapped . But then me and sarah got our heads together a reminded ourselves you are on holiday and not there to give us bedtime reading ! Plus if you'd been kidnapped they would soon give you all back ( only joking ) we do love and miss you loads ,So come on we are missing 2 days stop having fun and fill us in ( sat and sun ).
We have had some sunshine today so i managed to get out a ride spice has been like a gazelle jumping ditches and streams all four feet off the ground at once which made my girls laugh they didn't think their mum could stay on and ride that well . You would have had to close your eyes mum was just like my bandit days ( so cool ).
Tracy rio needs a new name like bruno or tyson you daren't turn your back on him cos he's up boxin his front feet ! gayle told me he made sarah move quite fast the other day (bless ) such a playfull little sole .

well hi guys so good to hear from you it has drove me mad keep checking the blog and there being nothing added.So wish i was wwith you on that ranch oh well will just have to keep imagining i am there with you.Everything fine at home kathy is rite could do with renaming Rio the little toad me and your sarah fetched them in other morning and he came boxing his way threw the door behind me,made me jump and as you can imagine your sarah was out like a bullet lol.Pepsi is fine too seems to be settling now.Well hope the rest of the week on the ranch is fantastic and cant wait for more photos.love u loads x x x x x
p.s i take back wot i said about having things imported dont think the car would be too bad lol, loving it x x
