The internet here is having issues.  Its all dial-up at the moment. Sorry for the short entry but I can't be bothered to sit here for 2 hours.  Its too nice outside!  Utlia is beautiful. Much like Caye Caulker but cleaner and larger but less developed. I just completed my advanced open water scuba certification - 5 dives in total: A night dive, drift dive (with the current), navigation dive, peak performance buoyance and deep dive (100 ft). They all were fantastic but esp today's.  The visibility was like 30m -- amazing! My buoyancy skills are vastly improved.  I can swim upside down, do flips, and swim vertically.  It's so fantastic. Tedster gets his open water certification today as well.  I'll be here through Wed and then off to Zamorano where Ted lives for a few days.

Love the blog...
The blog is great...especially the map!
So glad you were able to enjoy some of Dona Luisas wonderful Banana bread! I've found some here in Laos that rivals hers!
I think your next trip should be out here to Luang Prabang, Laos! So far it's my favorite place! Lots of wats, monks, and water. The night market is awesome and you can't beat the $0.50 buffet on the corner every night!
So glad you're having fun! Can't wait to swap stories and pictures!
Love you!
Jen

Enjoying your blog
Tad, I wish I were 29 with lots of time to travel and do all the wonderful things you do. Say Hi to Ted for us. We enjoyed Altar Boyz. Saw Lolly, but couldn't find a parking space so missed the wine afterward. Isabella sends her best wishes for a happy valentines day. Lolly and her friend (oops, I can't pull up her name, but she was very nice)were seated in the same row as we were but at the far end of our row and across the aisle. Fate? I'm working on golf plans and practicing prior to departure on the 24th. I'm going to New Orleans on the 29th and home on March 3. Will be a good test of my back health. Keep writing and sending photos when possible. Love you, Dad

Heck . . .
. . . I'd settle for the temp hitting 29!
Hi Tad. I'm back from an exotic and exciting weekend in Tampa, FL. Okay, so it doesn't quite have the same ring to it as your trip but given the temps in Boston I was pretty darned happy to be sitting poolside for a couple of days. I guess with 'heck' and 'darned' this post is rated G. Your blog continues to be awesome and thrilling. I'm so happy you're having such a wonder filled time. Yeah! What can I tell you about sports in Boston? Hmmmm. They've closed the damned street I use as a short cut to the parking lot at work as they ready Fenway for another season. Can't quite tell what all it is they are doing as there are blue tarps covering everything. I'll keep you up to the on the architecture and let other, far more savvy folk, keep you posted on the team and such. Did you want me to place your Mariner's bet in Vegas next month? Okay, so stop littering South America with your belongings, they have enough to deal with. Keep blogging!! Miss you lots and lots. Carrie
