A couple of weeks ago we went for a bike ride around Wenzhou and visited a temple that was recently built and is the largest Buddhist temple in the city. We also rode up a small mountain and went to the Wenzhou zoo. The zoo here is a really sad place. Many of the animal enclosures are just large concrete pits without any trees or grass. And the zoo has vendors that sell food that people throw at the animals. The enclosures are all filled with garbage and many of the animals look miserable. I didn't feel like taking pictures after a while, so there are just a couple of photos from a few of the enclosures that are wither the better ones or that are really bad. On this bike ride, my little bike computer that records mileage reached 900 kilometers! Its amazing how quickly you can build up the kilos over the course of a year without a car. Anyway, here are some pictures.
