Mekong Delta, Vietnam

We took an overnight trip from HCMC to the Mekong Delta. It was not bad, but nothing to write home about. The scenery was alright, and we met some nice people, but there was far too much time spent on buses and sitting in boats on the main river in between the interesting parts were we visit the smaller branches of the river, and little jungle villages that are located amongst the many arms of the river. One of the highlights was visiting the floating market near Vinh Long. The river is just loaded with boats selling all sorts of produce and whatnot...and also lots of little kids hawking Cokes and Bananas. All things considered, the entire trip cost only 25 bucks so can't complain too much. Here are some pictures.
