Lovely warm and sunny day for a "switchback" train ride up the steep hills to Arosa - another little advertised route but well worth the trip. We walked slowly up the hill to a lovely spot for lunch (bread rolls and local cheese). Then up some more to a small church overlooking the valley and surrounding mountains. We then walked back down the hill and picked up some souvenir mugs before taking the train back to Chur. Arosa is well worth a return visit as it has a nice camp site and plenty of walking trails. After some shopping for food we walked back to the Chur campsite and made dinner. We walked along the river Rhein for a while in both directions before retiring for the night - it is very quite here except for the rushing of the river.
