In Patnam we found a nice cheep hut to stay in so we could save some money. On first inspection it seemed really nice, better made than the one in Palolem. As soon as we stayed there a few nights we say why it was so cheep!
The room has no shade so between 10am and 4pm its too hot to stay in or even go in there. The curtains at the windows are see through so we had to put towels up to cover them. The bathroom didn't seem too bad apart from the sink that leaked and filled up a big bucket twice a day. That was until we found the giant cockroach living in there and the ants that lived inside the toilet and wouldn't flush away! Then to make things worse the toilet seat (that was stuck down with glue) fell off!
There was also a frog in the bedroom and a cat that walked across the roof.
Apart from the room we just relaxed in Patnam. We went to Moksha in Palolem to see Alfred and the others. Alfred managed to get us some crochet hooks, which we couldn't find anywhere, so we could do Sys hair. We also bought some warm jackets there ready for Nepal.
We went swimming a lot as it was very hot, 37degrees most days. Sy got sun burnt of course!
