This morning began really early as we had to be at the airport at 7am.  That meant for me getting up at 4am so I could load the car and get my mother up to take me.  I arrived at the airport at 6am so that Amy would not have to wait alone.  It was difficult sitting there waiting because I had just had my last cigarette before arriving and was craving another, but I resisted the urge. The flight was only 3 hours but felt like forever, probably because I was so excited to be in Costa Rica.  Our in-flight meal was absolutely horrendous, it smelt like play-dough!  Talk about turning your stomach!  After the flight it was time to spend another 6 hours traveling to Siepre by bus, but before we really got going, we stopped to have a traditional Costa Rican meal for lunch.  When they first started bringing out the plates I knew without a doubt there was no way I could eat it all.  It was very good and I ate more than I thought I would, to be honest it was so good that even once I was full I had trouble putting the fork down.  The bus ride, though longer than the plane ride, was interesting getting to know our tour guide and listening to him tell us about Costa Rica and where we were going.  Once we finally arrived in Siepre at the motel, which really just looked like someones house, we unloaded our bags from the bus and got our room assignments.  Chelsea and I shared the room together, we laughed at our "bathroom door" which was a see-through curtain and our window curtains were also see-through.  There was no air conditioning, but two fans instead, which we had turned on to the highest settings.  After a few minutes of getting settled in we gathered with our group to go eat dinner.  Again like the motel, this restaurant just looked like it was someones home that we were invading.  The food was delicious but not as good as lunch had been.  After dinner we went for a walk around the park and listened to Danny tell us about the sphere, then while walking back we spotted a bat.  Back at the motel Clay found a marine toad and we sat around a table discussing it and the plans for the next day.  By the time we finally were able to go to our rooms to shower and go to sleep I was exhausted, so exhausted I feel asleep waiting for my turn to shower...

Pedometer: forgot to wear it so steps/miles unknown...
