What I did
Kunming Airport

We had a long day of travel today. We left Jinniu Town at 7:30 for the Dali Airport. then a very short flight to Kunming, an incredibly beautiful airport. As we left Dali, the pilot began taxing before we were even beyond first class, the aisle full of standing people and we had to walk all the way to the back. I was expecting the take off before we got in our seats. No lighters in your carry on, but no need for seating before taxiing. Our air travel was followed by a long, slow, hot six hour drive through some beautiful country with plenty of mountains and tunnels. There is building everywhere. As is typical, the mountain sides and hillsides are terraced (or not) with crops growing everywhere. Mostly corn, and wheat and tea and then lots of vegetables in plastic hothouses in the low flat spots.  Now we are in Mojiang, a very big and modern city. Lots of people and scooters and motorbikes and cars. It is very noisy here--even more so that the last place, but the sounds are different. Much less horns beeping and many more people talking loudly--ever where. We went to the supermarket--no more like a walmart and the attendants all wear microphone headsets and scream the deals--at almost every few aisles We will not be making out nightly trek to that market, as we did in Jinniu. Everyone is staring. One of the main tribes here is the Hanni. I'll catch up in the next few days.

More and more interesting. I hope the new group of teachers are interactive and take advantage of your expertise.
Perhaps you should try the feet just once?! Take care
