Trip Start Apr 11, 2005
54Trip End ??? ??, 2006
It had been recommended by Mark to blow the budget and go for dinner in the revolving restaurant at the top of the CN Tower. Good recommendation. we had a great time and got a fantastic seat next to the window. The start of the meal was a bit strange as you could see the restaurant moving (it revolves internally on tracks) but we soon forgot about it. The meals were enjoyable but it's the views everyone goes for, panoramic views of the city. If you ever intend going i would recommend going for a meal as it cost $25+ just to go up to the viewing platform but this is thrown in with the meal which starts at $45 for a four course set meal.
Going to the bathroom was a funny experience as you would walk a few steps to the gents but when you came out you would be another qtr way round the restaurant as that bit doesn't revolve
After dinner we went to find the glass floor viewing platform (maybe we should have done this first). In the leaflet it shows a man terrified on the glass floor holding onto an assistant, I thought yea whatever they will do anything to promote something to more than what it is. (Excuse language) F@#ck me did my stomach go. You know there is glass there but its just like leaping of a mountain thinking nothing will support you, there is also the constant cracking of glass you think you can hear (isn't it funny the trick the mind plays on you). Cherry had to build upto it and finally went on with kt and i holding either hand, i'm surprised the shaking of her didn't shatter the glass.
Stomachs back in it was back to the hostel and of to the windy city tomorrow.
