Arequipa was beautiful but in such a different way to the rest of Peru. It was like stepping back into Europe. Rather than the slab brick houses we were used to seeing. There were white colonial houses, made from the rocks of volcano misty back when it erupted Hundreds of years ago. this is why it is called ´ciudad blanka´(the white city). It also had the added sleazy guys!!

We went to the Juanita museum. It was amazing we met Juanita, a mummified Inca sacrifice. The Incas thought the gods were angry so they sacrificed 3 girls and 1 boy to satisfy the gods.

After spending a night in Arequipa, we jumped on a bus and made our way to the Colca Canyons. It was pretty amazing. We stayed for a night in a tiny town called Chivay. It was beautiful and the hot springs were the best!!!
