We were up at the crack of dawn for our much anticipated boat trip to the Rio Frio or "cold river". This is in the area of Caņo Negro (Black Canals) right by Nicaragua and is teeming with wildlife. We got really lucky and saw just about everything that we could including iguanas, Capuchin monkeys, Howler monkeys, Spider monkeys, numerous bird species, caiman (small alligators) and various lizards.
