Where I stayed
The Black Prince
Tiger had arranged the early morning taxi for me to go with his pal Mubarak to Sharm el Sheikh airport to pick up Eleanor, and oh what a joy it was to see her. She was glad for some warm weather at last as it was so cold in snowy England.
The others were still asleep when we got back to Dahab.
I woke up my other children and we went for a stroll around Dahab so Ellie could get a good idea of her environment.
Later Liz and I had a beautiful time snorkelling in the sea just a little further along from the Black Prince, at a very friendly space in front of the Nubia Hotel.
We were the only ones lounging in their sea view shelter, big cushions to sit upon, and friendly young men bringing us mint tea and mango juice, chatting with us, even bringing a hermit crab along for our amusement which we watched scuttling along on the table.
Sea cucumbers were the most common sea life we observed in this stretch of the sea. Rosina described them very well as looking like stuffed socks.
We adopted for a while a beautiful dog from there who followed us home.
In the evening we dined on felafel sandwiches in Dega's. And what a brilliant evening we had, for Ahmed was in such a jovial mood and kept singing and dancing for us in an entertainingly camp style.
I decided to join in to pick up some dancing tips and had such a good fun time dancing too.
Poor Ela Bela got devoured by mosquito's in the night.
