Where I stayed
Andy was ill from severe sunburn and diarrhoea, laying low for a while, and after my porridge and omelette breakfast I read from an old magazine aloud to him.
It was then, relaxing in the garden, that we watched a huge lizard guano crossing the lawn.
Walking out onto the beach we saw an elephant walking along the beach with its mahout.
And yet again we delighted that the turtles were still visible in the sea.
When Andy felt stronger we walked to Ranjiths, the surfers favourite hangout, there lunching on lassi's and potato salad.
We absorbed ourselves in watching the skill of the surfers again.
Strolling onwards we came across the old fishing poles, one of which Jai sat up on.
On reaching the lovelier beach I swam and Jai played in the sand.
Despite his sunburn, Andy couldn't resist going surfing again.
It was dark when we walked back.
The horrible mossies had got in our net again.
There were so many this time that it took ages to get them out.
