Alright, so Mike and I left Mendoza last night at 8pm, for a city in North Argentina called Jujuy. It was a relatively uneventful night that included a mediocre dinner and a Harry Potter movie in Spanish. However, I did lose my jacket for about 8 hours, but found it when we were unloading from our first bus and transfering to another bus just outside of Salta. Needless to say I was very relieved, because its supposed to get down to like negative 15 degrees in Bolivia during the Winter. Im still noit quite sure how im going to handle that should it occur. Anyways, upon arriving in Jujuy we immediately bought another ticket to La Quiaca the Argentinian border town. We lucked out too, because the bus for La Quiaca left 15 minuts after we arrived in Jujuy so we didnt have to wait around there at all. Also, it allowed us to make it to the border by 730 and get through immigration. Immigration was pretty much a joke, but whatever, because the people seem to be a lot more friendly than most other border towns I have been too. So, now Mike and I are held up in a hostel until 3 tomorrow afternoon, when a train leaves from here to Uyuni. Its supposed to be a beautiful ride, but a Bolivian kid told me it takes 10 hours, so we wont be getting into Uyuni until 1 in the morning, which could be a really interesting experience. Sorry for all the type-o´s in my previous entries, but im not an english major and Im in medical school because I cant write legibly most of the time. Also, the keyboards in South America are not always the soft and easy-stroke keyboards we all know and love. Well, I guess its time to get the stink off. Ill depart with these words of advice. Just try to avoid Montezuma´s Revenge one day at a time!
