I've been in a lovely sleepy little village called Ella for 2 days. The train journey here from Kandy was absolutely amazing. 6hrs travelling through the hill country - the most amazing scenery! Ella itself is a tiny place & it was very quiet. It also rained non-stop! Met up with a german guy & a czech girl & we went to a tea factory, a temple & the Rawa Ella Falls which was a really big waterfall. Nothing really to do in the evenings apart from going to the Nescoffee Shop - Darshana (the owner) is a really cool Bob Marley wannabe! Drank Arrack (alcohol fermented from coconuts) & ginger beer - great combo!! And learned how to play Karam (an indian board game). Really fun. Anyway we're heading to Yala safari park tomorrow to hopefully see some leopards!
