Today is the day I go to Limeira, the place where I should be working in for AIESEC. I started my morning skyping with my mum back home. I do miss them all but I'm also having so much fun here in Brazil. We left the house at around 12pm and headed to Rodoviara to get a bus going to Limeira. We then got a taxi and headed to the house of my hosts (Marina, Ariane, Larissa, Fe) . They were all very welcoming, cool and fun. I know that I will feel right at home with them around. It's very common here in Brazil for college students to share a house and call it their "republika" (this is how I understand it). It's like the fraternity we see in American college movies. They said I was already part of their fraternity named, "saia justa" which literally means tight skirt. I hung out with the girls, just talking and watching them study statistics. I even gave them some dried mangoes that they are enjoying a lot! At around 7pm, the girls had to go to the university and I had to meet up with Sebastian, a guy from Germany who I would be working with at the NGO, so we can talk about our schedule and lesson plan for tomorrow. I found out that we would teach Brazilian children with learning disabilities some English. It was really hard to make a lesson plan especially if you do not know how to speak with them in their native language. We were thinking how we could help them understand a language if we can only speak that language. This would be, indeed, a very difficult job. After all the planning, he walked me home and it was so fucking cold! (I'm sorry sorry for the language but it was really so cold that I needed to put some emotions here so you could understand how I felt at that exact moment! haha!). When I arrived home, Lari and Fe was already back. They had friends over and we talked some more. Ma and Ari arrived and we were bonding all night long. I showed them my book of the Philippines and told them stories about the life back home. We just talked and shared stories until 1230am. We were suppose to play the "I never" game but I needed to wake up early tom morning for work so we decided to postpone it. I just hope tomorrow would be as fun as the past days were.
