I arrived in Amsterdam.  I am staying with my host, Margit, lives just outside...a 10 minute train ride to Zaandam.  She and I have spent most of our time in Zaandam with exception of one evening we spent in Amsterdam.  We did walk down the red light district...and it was just as I had always heard about. Interesting, but not my cup of tea.  Tonight we are going back to Amsterdam to a local couch surfing meeting.  In fact, a friend, Roger (he is from Arizona, living in The Netherlands, working in Belgium) whom I met in Switzerland is meeting us there too.  I leave tomorrow to go to Duisdorf Germany to visit another friend, Petra.  She is having a couch surfing meeting on Tuesday at her place.  Then, off to Spain for me ; )
