Where I stayed
Courtney here...
Halle and I, amazingly, got to our hotel with ease. We got in our first class seats on the train to Naples at 11:28am, dozed off a bit, finished my book, gazed at the Italian countryside (lovely little villas and gardens). Got off in Naples a couple hours later, had some taxi cab driver try to tell us there were no buses and he could get us to our Hotel for 90 to 100 euros, NO WAY DUDE, stop talking to us please. I asked the info booth man, he pointed to the metro gates and we were on our way, for only 3 euros. We had to ride the metro for about 45 minutes to Sorrento, and when we got off there was a bus that would be making a stop past our hotel. The coastal road is very narrow, and even more so when you are in a huge tour bus feeling like you are going to fall off the cliffs. Yikes! The bus driver let us off and we put our packs on and walked about 600 meters down a hill, past the busy beach, and right into the lobby. We have a wonderful room, very large, new bathroom, large shower with built in seat in it. Our first day here we ate some great sea food, I took a nap, and Halle read more of her book.
Yesterday, Monday, we spent the entire day on the beach. The water is salty, clear, and cool. Just what we wanted. After lazing on the beach we discovered that we both were burnt, burnt, burnt. Lobsters, we are. We both thought we had a good enough foundation that we wouldn't burn, but we were wrong. We ate great food again with a lovely sun setting infront of us.
Today, we are taking a shuttle into the nearest town, Sorrento. We are going to stay out of the sun, shop, do some laundry, eat, and chill out. Tomorrow, we might rent some scooters and check out a nearby beach or take a ferry shuttle to Capri, a close small island. I hope all is well. I love and miss everyone.

Hi!
Hi ladies- all the pictures, comments, and stories you have posted are wonderful to look at and read. Makes me want to elope and spend my honeymoon traveling Europe; I've almost got David convinced. We all miss you back home, and are envious of your great adventures.
All the Best,
Stephanie
