Thursday - 0ff to Ludlow

Rob & I set off for Ludlow about 11, K was given a long list of instructions for Miriam. It was the first time Robin had been by Telford since Miriam was in hospital there.

We made it to Ludlow at around 1. The boys were at the gate and I found myself trying to remember which was which. White Cottage is unchanged and delightful. We met Eve, James' dog - she is about 2 - still an excitable pup, a working cocker spaniel - long ears and short coat - looks more like a springer spaniel in some ways - sort of a honey-colour all over. She charmed me completely and I know you would love her, Ann. Linda gave us the sad news that Richard & Georgie are getting divorced. Georgie and little Florence are back in Worcestor.

I was thinking of staying until Tuesday and heading back by train but Linda and Dave keen to take me back and visit Robin so will probably be in Ludlow until Thursday next week.

After lunch we set off for Ludlow - first stop was Aunty Freda. She is looking well but getting a bit forgetful now. She now uses a frame inside and outside the house. She keeps her outside frame at the bottom of the stairs.

She was thrilled to see us, next stop was Ann Reid, Linda stopped on with Freda and Robin and I headed to Ann's place. As well as seeing Lisa and her boy, Tina was there with her two and then Janet arrived. It was lovely to meet her for the first time.

She said I was to tell you that Stonehouse cellar had flooded with the recent rains, the drains needed a major clean out and also apparently Robert is doing some major renovations there so I shall have to get along with my camera.

Linda picked me up from Ann's, Robin stayed on with Ann for the night and was off back to Derby next day.

Back up the steep, rickety, twisty little staircase to bed.
