Raining and cool again today. Robin picked me up from Cathy's around 9ish and back to her place for breaky. After this we were over to the coop for shopping and I had decided to post my mask home so was able to do this in Mackworth as we found a box @ Robins to pack it in. Such a friendly little shopping centre. There was a bbq planned at a friends house in the evening and Kirsten had decided to cook so we had a list of ingredients.

Then we had a very brief trip into Derby to pick up something for Miriam - she has been redoing her room and getting some new furniture which she chose online. We just stopped long enough. To get it and drop Kirsten off for some shopping and came home. The physio had arrived before we left and was still there. Robin was getting the CD holder out of the car and I opened the door, the dining room door was closed and I just opened it to bowl in and there was this figure with long hair standing just the other side of the door ready to come through. I quickly realised it was Kirsten and closed the door and went to to outside door to look through while she crossed the hall with my back turned. So far Kirsten has been a ghost to me. An unseen presence. She is either in the lounge or upstairs. Once she crossed the kitchen from the laundry while I was washing some dishes and carefully keeping my back to her. That accidental glimpse may be all I see. At some stage Rob & I tried to make some plans for my stay - at this stage it is Haddon Hall tomorrow afternoon and a day in York the day after.

We plan a trip to Coventry and Warwick castle on the weekend before I leave & Kirsten & I will go to Nottingham one day.

I had found a lovely trinket box in Venice with the lid all decorated with a Venetian mask for Miriam and the girls said she loved it.

When Kirsten got back from shopping Robin took Meg for a walk in the rain and Kirsten and I cooked for the evening. By way of desert Kirsten had decided on blueberry and choc chip muffins - yum. And we made a salad. Rob and Pip managed to fit in a run before we had to go out (there is supposed to be a 10km run on Friday but Robin feels it is likely to be cancelled with all the ran we have had - the ground will be really boggy.

The girls and I were listening to music and watching youtube together for a while, then Rob, Jerry and I went off to Liz and Pete's.

It turned out that this was in fact a little church home group that R&J go to. Liz and Pete who host it are lovely but are in the process of packing - hence the bbq - it was cold and wet! We ate inside in the rooms which were not full of boxes. Pete is a retired orthopaedic surgeon. They were a nice friendly bunch and at the end of the evening there was a meeting planning a service for next month - they are using some Olympic themes. It is to be an all-age service and there was a suggestion of staging an alternative sort of race around the pews for the children. As tasks were being assigned at the end of the evening I remarked that as Robin had done lots of racing she might be interested in organising the race part of the service - all agreed and Robin gave me a filthy look!!
