Yesterday I spent the afternoon and evening painting, on my deck overlooking our little pond and garden with it's miniature Monet bridge to the music of the singing frogs. In a spirit of whimsy, I set up a miniature garden of rocks, wild violets, cut magnolia branches and daffodils and sat my little clothe Linnea doll with her perky hat in the middle. The Linnea doll goes with the wonderful little book," Linnea in Monet's Garden". What a delightful afternoon. I can't wait until our group actually makes the day excursion to Giverny and has time to sketch in Monet's garden and village. This is just getting me in the mood (as if I need the incentive!)
