We are about six weeks out from departure time for our French Artz Trip!  The travel agent is working on getting our train tickets for travel inside France and the reservations will be made this week.

We're down to deciding carry on only or check a bag? Pack a towel or buy a towel? Battery chargers...hair dryers...transformers....Finalizing menus and food shopping list for our first week at Nicole & Gilbert's guest house....

Nicole & Gilbert will welcome us with a hot meal Sunday night after 24 hours of plane/train travel.  They are awesome people!  Nicole will be painting right along side us - learning watercolors.  It should be a cinch for her - she is such an accomplished porcelain and silk artist as well as potter.

Several of us going have web sites and I thought it might be nice for those reading the blog to see their work.  Here are some of the sites:
www.SuzanneLowry.com;
  www.jerieartz.com
 www.webpages.charter.net/robberts/
I'll include other sites as the artists who have them send them to me.

Arvilla Friar, mom, doesn't have a web site, but I am attaching her photo and some of her work as well as Tatyanna Robberts and her work.  It is going to be so rich painting together with such a talented group of folks.

Each of us willl have several paintings plus our travel journals that we want to share with our family and friends and anyone who would like to share our experience.  We will be setting up a show at the Jacoby Art Center in Alton Illinois   (http://www.jacobyartscenter.org/)  the week of September 20 where the work will be on display until October 9th.  We will have an opening reception, Sunday, October 3rd.  Save the date!  There are a couple of other possibilities to show our work this summer as well. When we know the specifics, I'll post them on the blog.

A la prochaine!
Jerie
