Having lived in France for 14 years, and being a watercolor artist, I've enjoyed traveling back to France with my husband to see life long friends, enjoy the beautiful country, culture, cuisine and capture the beautiful places we visited in my travel journal.  You can see my first travel journal on my web site: www.jerieartz.com.

A friend in France has been wanting me to come back with several of my artist friends, stay in their guest house and introduce her to watercolor painting.  At the same time, friends here asked if I would organize a painting trip to France.

So the time is right and plans are in place for 10 of us from the Gateway East Artist Guild, www.geag.net, to fly to France May 15 - 31 to experience the dream of painting in one of the most exquisite and inspiring countries in the world.

Our first week will be spent near Gueret in the "Creuse", rural countryside. Nicole's guest house will be the perfect place to rest, relax, and paint - every day, all day, as much as we want. We'll then take the train to Paris where we will visit as many of the famous sites as we can including a day trip to Monet's garden in Giverny, painting in our travel journals all along the way.

I enjoy Facebook, but have never blogged. So I decided to journal this experience and take you with us if you would like to come along. Being new to this blogging thing, I'm not sure how often I'll write, but this is a start.

My suitcase is started - traveling as light as possible and the group will be meeting for the 2nd time to discuss the plans, learn a little French, work on travel journals and prepare for this adventure of a lifetime!

Until next time.....

Artzfully yours - Jerie
