A relatively boring day driving mainly on the toll roads, getting very hot.  Said to Andy that it was feeling humid but he said 'Don't be daft, it's a really dry provence that we are now entering!' - well stopped at a service area for the night just before 4pm and was getting very dark, also the high temperature had dropped significantly.  Said to Liza - 'It's going to rain' and she said 'No, it's just the polluted atmosphere!'.  Decided to get the lid up quick on the campervan and then the rain started - and boy, did it rain - and sleet, and hailstones the size of gobstoppers - sounded like firecrackers going off as they hit the roof of the camper.  Lightening, thunder, and rain and more rain.  Just finished now after about 90 mins of solid rain.  Thought I would have no photos to upload for oday but now I have some.......   Am going to have to go for a paddle to get to the 'dining hall' at the service area where we are treating ourselves to a meal tonight..

Back from an enjoyable meal followed by Andy teaching Sue and Liza a new cardgame that the Chinese play all the time on the streets as we pass by - for 3 people.  2 people are farmers and one person is the landlord.  The idea is for the farmers to ry and beat the landlord.    Liza and I are just starting to get to grips ith it after about 7 hands  and I managed to win as the landlord on the last two hands.
Still lots of water in the carpark and had to paddle back to the camper van - wonder if it will have drained away by the morning.  The water is very cold as well!!!

Looks like you had a good time in the very unusual rain storm after such heat. Makes our weather siim quite mild.
