Well, the time has come for me to leave the UK. Another rainy day greeted me this morning, they really have had a bad summer since I got here, with only two fine days right at the start. They're all pretty fed up with it, and the weather men have admitted that they got it wrong when they predicted a barbecue summer. All those Brits who had decided to stay home instead of going overseas to get some sunshine are pretty miffed about it.
Yesterday Ray and I went for a quick walk over part of the Clent Hills near Hagley, then down through farmland tracks, while UK Sue slept after her night shift. Then it was time to catch up with Sue B (Hagley Sue - too many Sues!!) and a lovely girlie lunch before heading out to UK Sue's brother and wife for tea. A great evening, and this morning I have been Skyping Rob and started to pack. Don't know what is in store for me today before I catch the plane but I'm heading down to the gym soon for my last session and a stroll around the Stourbridge shops. I'm going to get wet as it is still raining.
So, the holiday is at an end, goodbyes have to be said - there have already been plenty of those as I travelled across the country to see the aunties, uncles and cousins. But I'm looking forward to some awesome hellos from family and friends and fourlegged critters when I return home.
For those in the Northern Hemisphere, until we meet again ... and watch out, Southern Hemisphere, I'm coming home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
