We met some dear new friends from Calgary while vacationing in Brazil in April 2006. When they invited us to join them to visit Calgary for 2006 Stampede, we couldn't pass it up. We flew from NY to Denver and Denver to Calgary. We spent the first day by getting up early so Coreen could ride her horse in the opening parade. After the parade, we enjoyed a pancake breakfast with Coreen's daughter and granddaughters. After breakfast, we met up with some other friends, had lunch and headed to Ranchmans (a traditional cowboy bar). We found the party at Ranchman's - eat, drink, two step and be merry. What fun!

Coreen and Jeannie were amazing hosts and showed us all of the wonderful things that Calgary and the Canadian Rockies have to offer.
