Wednesday - We left for Rome early in the morning on a bus and arrived at the Colaseum around 11. We did a walking tour of Rome and seen lots of the ruins and all the stuff there is to see. I even got to have a beer with the Pope; although he preferred that I have wine (I think just because then he could have drank mine as well). Toilets continue to be a challenge to find. One of the highlights of the day for me was the restaurant Sue and I wandered off to. It was a place that caters to the locals instead of the tourist types. It was a bit up scale for my style, but it was a great experience and absolutely fantastic food. We stopped in there as an emergency toilet stop and just lucked out. Rome is a really neat place that you truly need to spend several days at so you can walk the city and take it in at a much slower pace. We have been trying to get our handy phone (cell phone to us - but I think I like handy phone better) working since we got here and I think we finally have it working (only a week late). Sue still continues to break out of the toilets with out incident. Thank god, I still think they are still looking for her in Venice. Please excuse my poor writing style. Right now I can blame it on having to be in a rush, but I doubt more time would improve things.
