Greetings everyone,  this one will have a few days of activity (or lack of at times) since we do not have the best Internet access.

Monday update - This was a relaxing day.  We boarded a bus to San Vincenzo and paid 3 Euro for a round trip fare.  On our return they wouldn't accept the ticket so we paid again.  The village is rather low key at this time of the year, but is a very busy ocean village in the summer.  We found a great street restaurant and had a beer and some snacks.  Not a very eventful day.

Tuesday update - We walked to another hotel to use the cash machine and have been having trouble getting the darn things to work (mostly operator error and currency conversion confusion).  We did hire a guide/driver that took us to an olive oil farm and a winery in the Bolgheri area.  This was great fun and the wine and oil were excellent.  Our driver also took us to the town of Bolgheri which was really a neat place.  Very small village with very interesting history.

Our food continues to be excellent.  The desserts have been fantastic and the espresso continues to be great (so does the wine and beer!).  The salads are so fresh and are really good with the local olive oil and vinegar we have to put on.  It is not at all like the stuff we have back home.  We have tried a number of dishes, fish, pizza, lasagna, chicken and pork chops.  Sue had a chicken with tomato and sweet peppers in a superb white sauce (forget what it is called).  All in all the food has been fantastic.

Wednesday we are off to Rome
