Let me just say that Janice and I have been in a kick butt team mode this past week, .... working really well together to get all the details handled. We spent the last three night tiding the house and packing, and all of our hard work made for a stress free departure from the States! And now we are off!
The Aer Lingus plane we took non-stop from SF to Dublin, Ireland was great. Very friendly staff, a good amount of leg room, and every seat had a personal TV. The kids were awesome, no crying or complaining. Couldn't have asked for a better 10hr plane ride. Only thing that wasn't so great is that after struggling to get the kids to sleep, Janice and I couldn't fall asleep ourselves. So, we will be doing day one in Dublin on zero sleep. Knowing me and my grouchiness when I'm low on sleep, it could make for an interesting experience. The plan now is to stay awake as late as possible this first day ... and get a solid night's sleep so that we wake up adjusted to the new time zone. We shall see how it goes.
Best moment of the day for me was three hours in to the flight and we busted out the Gameboy, PSP, and Leapster ... me and the kids are playing away with our techno toys with big smiles on our faces and Janice is resting, watching us, and beaming with love and happiness. Good times.

1. This is so cool. I hate that I've never been to Europe.

2. In the picture of Janice holding the arm rests? It looks like she might just slam them down on their heads and for some reason, that made me laugh.
