It was a long but enjoyable jurney to Mumbai. I had to get up really early (well 6am) to get a bus to Hospet at 7. I chatted with a Deutch couple and then a German bloke - Frank on the bus and Frank was catching the same train as me for the 1st part. The 2 of us shared a Rikshaw to the train station in Hospet and then we were straight on the train. We were in the wrong compartment and although the inspector asked us to move - we played stupid and stayed - it worked out fine. Frank got off before me but we exchanged a lot of traveling knowledge so that was cool. I then had to wait for 5 and a half hours for my conecting train but it went quickly enough - i decided to eat loads before so i wopuld not get the chance to be poisoned by the train food again.
I got on the train (on time) with a French couple but they were in a different carriage to me. I listened o music from 4 till 11 then sleped till 7am and we were already at the last stop!
I was ment to get off the one before!
It was ok though, nobody checked the ticket and it worked out much better for me this way anyway. I then got a local train and then walked a bit. Some guy took me to a place and although it was a long walk away it must be the cheapest place in Mumbai (the most expensive city for accom in India). Im in a dorm with loads of Africans and Chineese but it looks clean and ive decided its only for one night - im just going to make the most of today here in Mumbai and then head off tomorrow afternoon to Udaipur.
Well i have made the most of the day. I booked my flight to meet Polina, i booked my 16h bus to Udaipur for lunchtime tomorrow and i walked about 20km around Mumbai - im exhausted now and thought i would sit down at this internet cafe to recover! I have nothing to do this evening though - think i will get an early night.
Tomorrow at 12 im off to Udaipur - hurrah!
