Met up with Sarah FINALLY 6 hours late an malnourished but it was really good to see her, we now have a couple of days to see the things around here and then through the mountains to do some walking and ruins!
The past 2 days have been great! On day one we went to Eden - a deserted beach town and saw the desert, milions of Pellicans and some blue footed boobies. The treip was only 30 mins from Chiclayo and it was a really nice trip. There was a pier there so long it took ages to walk along, there were also allarming gaps in the pier.
I got seriously sun burned and in the evening we watched White Noise 2 (or whatever it is called) it was alright at best.
Today, in the morning we had a really successful market day buying various necessary things including Cheveche - nice Sea food breakfast with a nice glass of Chicha (this corn drink), from there we went to Tucume to see some Pyramids left from the lord of Sipan, well before the Incas. It was a nice place and we saw a lame museum which told us about it, apparently they are all made of birds nests, trigs, mud and birds muck - V resourcefull! We then ventured over to a museum 30 mins away which was easily the best I have seen here in S AMerica - the only problem is we only had 30 mins and couldnt really do it justice...It was all about the Lord of Sipan and the times before the incas. The things they found in the toubs were remarcable.
Now we are back and rushing for the 6.45pm bus to Chachapoyas to see some more ruins.
