We finally arrived huddling together for warmth at 10am ish. We walked to a metro and got it to our hotel. It is quite a reasonable price concidering it is the capital. It has a TV and aircon so we are happy!
Caracas was really great. It is horribly dangerous at night, they say the worse in S America but during the day it is nice. We spent most of day one trying to exchange money on the black market. Eventually after an hour or so we had changed $300 for 4,800 rather than the 2,100 offered in ATMīs!!!! With our new found riches (see the pics) we bought a few little things, had a nice look around Caracas, went up on the cable car and generally enjoyed the place. Caracas has been one of my favorite cities thus far, we love it here!
Anyway, its only a brief stop here, we feel we have seen a nice little section of the city and now we are off to Chichiriviche.
