Flew off to Adelaide with Virgin Blue (Australian Easyjet equivalent).

England going great guns in the cricket, with a few early wickets on day 3 after two solid first days in the ascendency. Surely we can't lose this game, and could even grab a win, although a draw even at this stage looks likely...Giles (who shouldn't even be in the team) has just dropped Ponting though...could be ominous and very important!

After arriving in Adelaide in the mid aftertoon and checking into the Hostel - an uninspiring 8 bed dormitory - decided to wander over to the Adelaide Oval and try and get in to watch the last session of play. Sadly when get there all tickets are sold and head off to the nearest pub.

Get lucky and find an English pub - The Elephant - for a drink. Rob King (ex Leigh-on-Sea) is at the game today and am meant to be meeting him for a drink later.

Within 10 mins of being in the pub have tickets for day 4 purchased - an English guy who's wife has had enough after 3 days and doesn't want her ticket for the next day sells it to me at face value - bingo!

Also whilst there get chatting to Anthony and Luke - both from Perth - who have also showed up in town with no tickets and are keen to watch the game.

After going home to shower and get cleaned up meet the lads and Kingo back at the pub and proceed to get totally inebriated with them and then after a sojourn to the Barmy Army pub (an Irish pub shock horror) manage to blag a lift home from a couple of girls in Adelaide, crawling into my top bunk at 2.30am! All in all a pretty good day!
