Waiting to leave in an hour to catch the train to Moscow. This train is only about 33 hours much of which will be at night when I am asleep.  Final day and final thoughts on Yekaterinburg.  A lovely city, wish I spoke Russian as few speak any English.  Went to the top of the tallest building, a new 46 story building.  Went down the equivalent to Rundle mall.  Unfortunately, it was a public holiday and the museums were closed, but the weather was sunny, and I enjoyed hanging around the pond and watching the people.  There are many theaters, artist, and writers.

I noted that there were alot of young people and few would be considered overweight. In fact, most young ladies would be considered skinny and they wear super high stiletto's. Like Irtusk, there is no McDonald's, but I did see a Burger King, Subways, and a TGIF Fridays. Or could it be the Vodka that keeps the young ones thin? I saw a group of young people jogging carrying flags and shouting slogans.  They then stopped and did push ups.  I don't think they were soccer fans where the European championship is taking place in the Ukraine, but were perhaps a right wing political group.

I got registration papers from my hotel today.  They have a crazy system here where not only do I have a visa for my entry and departure dates, but each hotel may need to register me with local authorities.  I'll try and not take too many pictures.  Their still seems to be alot of bureaucracy from the old system and they could do a better job in making tourist feel welcome.

Just arrived in Moscow, had a good train, the conductor was friendly and they even provided a meal.
