Taman Negara is one of Malaysia's national parks.  It is about 6 hours from KL, and had plenty of little blood sucking creatures.  literally.  i had my first encounter with leeches yesterday. while travelling to gua telingga cave dave, jos (a guy from the netherlands we hung out with during our time at the park) and i, were acosted by little inch worm-looking leeches.  they really weren't that bad but it was a little creepy because you couldn't necessarily feel them attaching to your leg and start sucking your blood.  periodically we'd check our ankles.  i'm exaggerating a little actually out of the 5 or so that i found on my legs only one of them drew blood.  
the canopy walk there is supposedly the tallest and longest in the world, at 30 meters high and 550 meters long.  it was pretty incredible. 
we also went kayaking...sort of.  more later on that...i'm not feeling the long written entry at the moment.  : )
