The day started pretty normal - the weather was nice [ fun to see 60F in the morning] we broke camp and noted one of the four brackets that connect the two top movable parts of the trailer to the trailer frame had broken.  The question was to -- continue to march, and hope for the best -- or -- try to get  a new part.

We had a short trip planned to our reserved RV site in Gatlinburg, TN.  Since we already had the Trailer hooked up and ready to go we asked the RV office to help.  She got a number to call, the trailmanor dealer had the part, and transferred me to another person --- and we lots contact.  We called the number again and got an answering machine-- ask them to call us back.  We decided that we needed the part and the address we had was just north of Knoxville, TN about 140 miles away --which would require a doable 100 mile back track to Gatlinburg.  .  They returned our call -- on route - and invited us to come by and they would install the part [we had already committed to getting the part].

We got to the Trailmanor place and it turned out to be the Trailmanor Factory.  We got some of the workers to look at the part and they suggested that all four be replaced-- we agreed.  They also installed  a roller on the living room slider, strengthened a side wall, adjusted the torsion bar [making it easier to go up and down] and adjusted the upright bars making the halves fit tighter.  We had a nice discussions with plant manager and the operation manager who were very helpful and  gave us some ideas on where to get any adjustments done in the future.

They were all very friendly and dropped what they were doing to help us with the  various issues and the whole process was expertly done and  took less than an hour --- they only charged us for the new  parts installed.  So the Trailer is as close to new as it will ever be -  an unplanned diversion from what we were looking to do today -- but very worthwhile so we can continue our ADVENTURE HOME.

On our way to the RV park we went through a city called Pigeon Forge.  We estimate for about five miles on the divided four lane highway --  almost every form of restaurant, entertainment and adventure was available, many advertised on Las Vegas style electronic bill boards. This includes numerous signs for Dollywood, Hatfield's and McCoys show, Dixie Stampede, and other country style entertainment. I hope that we get a few pics of it when we leave town in a few days.

Tomorrow we plan to spend the day in the Smokey Mountain National Park -- the entrance is just outside of Gatlinburg, TN..
