After La Paz I caught a bus to Sucre, Boliviaīs second capital (yes, it has 2!), which is alot smaller and prettier and has more governmental stuff there. Itīs also where Boliviaīs declaration of Independence was signed in 1825.

I spent a week here learning Spanish and staying with a Bolivian family, which included a crazy 4 year old caled Nathalie and an even crazier dog called Blanca! Both would keep coming into my room and destroying things.

I had a great time learning Spanish (and also about Bolivian culture) and chilling in Sucre - the family were lovely, although 7 days of quinoa soup followed by potatoes, a bit of meat, and either rice or pasta got a bit much towards the end.

On my last day there was a big parade, which had something to do with all the new students entering the University all doing traditional folklore dances or wearing very bizarre costumes!

On my last night there was a certain incident with a statue in a fountain, which resulted in me 3 other students and I spending 4 hours at a police station, but thatīs all Iīm going to say on that matter!
