So, onto La Paz, the highest Capital city in the world.

I really liked La Paz - itīs filled with street markets selling everything imaginable, including llama foetuses and dried frogs in the witches markets, counterfeit DVDs and CDs in the black market, toys, toiletries, food, and lots of silver jewellry, ethnic clothes and souvenirs in the touristy area. Muchos shopping ensued!

We also went on a city tour, which included our second valle de luna and lots of information on the history and politics of La Paz and Bolivia - very interesting.

Another trip was to Tiwanaku, the oldest ruins in South America (I think!), which was very interesting but our tour guide wasnīt great, which was a shame. All the decorations on the monoliths and sun gate, etc, were linked to the natural calendar - everything was either 7, 12 or 365.

The 11th was Chrisīs 21st Birthday, so we had a big meal and party at the top of the hotel, with great views of the city at night. This was myast stop with the overland tour and the party was a great way to end a fantastic few days with everyone.
