So, onto ARGENTINA!
After 20 hours on a bus (which included a police search around 5am - just what you need!), I arrived into Buenos Aires at 7am, and found a lovely hostel in the city centre. I was now on my own for the first time since starting the trip and it felt a little strange!
Buenos Aires is a nice enough city, but I donīt think Iīm really a city person, so I decided I wouldnīt stay here for too long. My favourite thing about this place is all the cafes; its great to while away the hours watching the portenos over a nice hot cafe con leche. Itīs pretty cold here too, so the coffee tastes even better! And there are so many cafes to choose from - yippee!
Highlights included seeing a tango show & doing a tango lesson at the hostel, eating lots of steak, wandering around colourful La Boca, having the best hot chocolate Iīve ever tasted at Cafe Tortoni (which Eva Peron and other famous people have been know to frequent), and going to a great club on my last night (despite all the sleazy men!) until 7am. What I did not enjoy was having to get up 3 hours later to check out!
