After 22 hours on buses, Kerry and I reached Foz de Iguasu, which is situated on BrasilŽs border with Argentina and Paraguay, next to the Iquacu falls; the widest waterfalls in the world. We had arrange to meet up with the new Encounter group here as well, and they arrived a few hours afer us. It was great to meet up with them all again, especially Tom and Bianca, and to while away the hours in the campsite that evening we played numerous dodgy drinking games!

The next day we went to the Brasilian side of the falls (it lies on the boundary between Brasil and Argentina). When I first saw the falls I thought they were amazing, but as kept walking along, they just got bigger and bigger and I became more and more impressed! We spent a few hours walking the length of the falls, and also wen to this fantastic bird park, where you walk through enclosures full of toucans, macaws, wtc. It was brilliant to get up close to all these bired weŽd seen in the wild in the Amazon and Pantanal.

The following day Kerry and I crossed over to Argentina for the day. whilst the thers went shopping in Paraguuay! We went on a 4x4 safari, as well as a boat ride over the rapids and into the spray of the falls - great fun, if a little wet and chilly!

The next day, it was time to finally say some goodbyes: Kerry was heading back to Rio, whilst I was bound for Buenos Aires and the tour was staying around Iguasu for a few more days. It was sad to say goodbye, having spent the last 3 months together, but I think IŽll probably bump into the tour again as my planned route overlaps theirs!
