"For a' that, an' a' that,
It's coming yet for a' that,
That Man to Man, the world o'er,
Shall brothers be for a' that."

The last few lines of Robert Burns' poem "A mans a man."  I love it.  Considering it's both Burns night and Australia day, it's time to don the kilt.  As well as this, Liverpool FC have managed to beat Manchester City to reach their first final since 1996.  In addition, my friend Zoe who had gone AWOL in Central America has turned up safe and well.  Finally someone mentions Panama are playing the USA in a friendly.  All in all, today was a significant improvement on yesterday.  Actually on the past month.  Hell it's a contender for the best day of the past four years.

Attending a Panama international football match is a memorable experience.  They come out in force and noise to support their team.  Naturally we're all behind the strong partisan crowd, especially as it's against the US.  Wearing my kilt, I find I'm becoming something of a hooligan with the home support.  It's a wonderful feeling though, sharing the passion for the game and traversing language barriers.  I have some fantastic banter with pretty much everyone that walks past, or stops to talk to me.  Oh and I was on TV.  A very attractive bubbly blond reporter grabs me, a guy shoves a camera in my face and she asks me loads of questions about why I'm here, who I'm following and what I have on under my 'skirt'.  She's like a Disney chanel presenter on Acid.

I find myself a lovely bunch of aussies after the game and we do our best to celebrate our seperate special days.  Until 9.30am.
