We woke up this morning to a very humid day. Much more so than the previous days. We wandered up to the park, through the church, over to the open-air market and then down the street from there to the grocery to buy some Nicaraguan coffee. We hadn't been able to find any in the market. I also made a couple of purchases at the craft booths set up in the street by the Parque Central in honor of the Festival.

We stopped back to the hotel to drop off my purchases and walked out the front directly into the guide we'd met at Masaya the day before. He'd come by early to see if we wanted to go on the boat to Las Isletas earlier than arranged. We preferred the earlier time. He had just one couple going at the earlier time and, if we didn't mind there being four of us, the couple didn't mind either. He'd arranged a taxi to pick us up in 20 min to take us to the boat dock. When we got down to the dock we found it was a woman and her husband (Americans) who'd been up at Masaya the day before. I'd talked to her there and found she'd recognized me from the ferry to Ometepe a few days before. They were congenial company.

The boat ride/trip was about 2 hours long with a break mid-way on one of the isletas that has a bar (the beer was included in the trip). It was starting to cloud up with a slight breeze. I'm sure glad we went earlier.

No problems finding a place to eat tonight. We had a great meal at a grill up the street from the hotel.
