Coochin Creek Camp Park

We drove to the Glass Mountains, which is 70 km NE of Brisbane. They are the cores of extinct volcanoes that formed over 27 million years ago. It is crazy to see such flat land scattered with steep mountains all around.  We were on our way to find a camp ground along Coochin Creek, when Shane spotted something across the road.  He wasn't sure if it was wildlife or a work man, so he didn't say anything until we were right on it.  Yes, it was our first wild kangaroo siting!!  SOOO awesome.  It would hop along with the car but once we stopped, it would stop. Now either it was scared my camera clicking was a weapon or it was the most photogenic kangaroo in Australia.  We got some great pics!  We finally arrived at Coochin Creek, which was basically like camping along black river.  We weren't quite sure what predators were around, so we cooked dinner (pork chops and sweet potatoes) and ate in our tent. Shane thought drinking the night away was a better idea for this evening since nothing else was around, so red wine it was.  Bottoms up!
