After our tree top exploration we went to get another meat pie for lunch, then off to Brisbane City.
Sunday morning we headed up a road more narrow and curvy to O'Reillys in the Lamington National Park. The park has a tree top walk that is 180 meters in length and is made up of 9 suspension bridges 15 meters above the ground. Two observation decks have been constructed in a strangler fig tree above the walk way, the highest one being 30 meters (approx 110 feet) above the ground. It was an awesome view of the valleys and mountains, even if the ladder to the observation decks were so straight they had to have a cage built so one could not fall while climbing up... yikes!
