Today we left Fiji and flew into Brisbane, Australia where Scott, Shane's friend from his college years in NZ, picked us up. They met at The University of Waikato in Hamilton, New Zealand during Shane's sophomore year abroad. I was lucky enough to be calling my Mom from a pay phone when Scott showed up because I was able to capture their first meeting with our camera. We are staying with Scott and his girlfriend Kelly for a few days before embarking on our first excursion in Australia. We are fortunate to have a "home base" in Australia to keep some things and rest if needed. They have been amazing hosts, and we are so grateful for the time to catch up.
