Its Valentine's Day in the consumer capital of the world, good ol' USA. More crap will be sold today and eaten, have died or been throw out by the weekend than any other day in history.
For what its worth, just try telling someone you love them, and save the planet from the cellophane wrapping.

We've moved into out new place in San Rafael, which is a few miles north of the Golden Gate bridge. After the hubbub of xmas and buying the house, we are really looking forward to a few days in our favourite cabin in Tahoe. The snow hasn't been bucketing down but there's enough. We are more snow dummies than snow bunnies. Besides, as long as its white and there is some nice red wine nearby, who cares.
