When I downsize on a regular basis, I know the instant coffee stays. I am up early, after falling asleep with one foot on the floor and my computer on my lap. I woke up a few hours later and tucked in at about 7:30PM. So, with 3 hours + 7:30-4:00= 8.5 hours, I am good to go. I am not quite as sore, and after filling my water bottle with instant and tepid water, I feel quite rested. I am not even fretting about the shower I am going to take in a while with basically cold water and no sprayer on the shower. The water comes out strong Well, it is about 6am and I should get ready to go, first mission is to get real coffee and have a cold shower. The T/V local news channel reports a warm day and my clothes are hand washed, dry and ready to go.
I wear long sleeve shirts, as I have had a brush with "Melanomic Cells," (pre-cancerous cells removed from my neck due to years of sitting in the sun at Newport Beach in California. The first day of summer, the old mentality was to get a good burn to start a "killer" tan for the summer. How were we supposed to know that that causes Cancer? My current favorite shirt is a black long sleeve shirt with the logo, "Gap," boldly imprinted on the front. I have already started washing that, my chonie's, and my socks every night so they are dry in the morning. Again, it begs the question, why did I pack anything else? For emergencies I guess and some fairly nice pants and shirt if I find a night spot I want to go into and not look like what I am, a bicycle traveler who wears the same clothes every day, what else.
I can handle the forcasted 80 degrees F. today and I am shooting for about 30 miles. The globe shows an upgrade northbound and it follows suit, as I feel I am on a slight upgrade, just enough where I don't coast far when I stop pedaling. I have found on overpasses that my additional weight and the trailer cause me to coast at a pretty good clip, which I use the generative mode to slow me down and charge the battery. I am thinking that the little extra boost of the battery will give me peasant memories of a smooth ride and no memories of grueling hills. We will see.
