Where I stayed
International youth hostel
The landscape in this part of the alps is much like the rockies back home. The only difference is the elevation of some of the structures, villages, and roads. Taylor and I hopped on a bus at 8 o'clock this morning from Grenoble, and came about an hour and a half into the mountains to a resourt called Les Duex-Alpes, which translates to The 2 Alps. The resourt we are staying at is about as big as Banff, but is all hotels, resturaunts, grocery stores, and rental shops. It is also less than 5 minutes from any one of the 10 or so lifts up, at any given point in the village. For me, I was able to ski to within 30 seconds of my hostel. The mountain is also huge, definitely bigger than Lake Louise or Sunshine. We have 3 days here, so we intend to explore it all. We definitely saw everything in one dqy though.
