Salta Argentina,

So another 20 hour bus journey and we are now in the Northwest of Argentina, the scenery is totally different here, this is Argentina´s most indigenous region. Stephen is a little pissed off as the women arent as pretty as the more "European" parts of Argentina.

Salta is a really cool city to hang out for few days, cheap, great nightlife, lots of adventure sports, nice parks so we decided to do all of the above.

Our hostel was a great place, mostly exchange tourists, nice to be away from all the rambling travellers for a while, also the huge bonus was it had a pool table so thats how we spent most of our days.

Decided to go white- water rafting outside Salta, didnt help that we set our alarm for 8:30 in the evening instead of 8:30am, get a loud knock at 9am, the rafting company is outside waiting... clothes on and out the door.
Rafting was a real adrelaine rush, we went down 9 rapids and the surrounding scenery was amazing. There was another family in a different raft, we christened them the Waltons, i have never seen a family so happy and laughing at each other, we both get on very well with our families, but this was weird...

After drying ourselves off, we had barbecue three course lunch in lovely restaurant, all for the price of 20 euro, rafting included.

To celebrate our first rafting experience and the fact that we had not been out past 2am since we arrived, we decided to hit the town.

First started off with pizza and a show of local music and dance.

Then we spoted our weakness, a pool hall, it was full of old men, cigarette smoke and gamblers, but that tomboy instinct came out in me again and we joined in, they were all pointing and saying she is good... i felt quite proud...

Walked back onto street and place was buzzing, unfortunately we spotted a sign 2 vodkas and red bulls for 15 pesos, the equilavent of 3 euro, 4 hours later of Vodka and Red Bull we are in the local nightclub thinking we are the next Enrique Inglesias and Shakira....

5:00 am all danced out and crawled to bed....

Good night and great city.... time to check out the craziness of Bolivia
